2016 FOLG In the next 10 years, seismic change will transform society and government. To take advantage of this opportunity, and remain relevant, the Local Government sector needs to: Truly become the servant of the community and support citizens to build stronger communities Increase stakeholder trust in local government Take a bolder, more strategic, leadership position in the debate about the future of Australia’s Federal agenda Establish a local government R&D function where Councils can experiment, pilot and take risks.
