General Legal Confidentiality Framework Statistical confidentiality is addressed at EU level in: Several Commission and Council Regulations Commission Regulation (EC) N° 831/2002 is reference for daily work European Statistics Code of Practice

Commission Regulation (EC) N° 831/2002 Sets out procedures for granting microdata access Included microdata sets: - European Community Household Panel (ECHP) - European Union Statistics on Income and Living Conditions (EU-SILC) - Labour Force Survey (LFS) - Community Innovation Survey (CIS) - Continuing Vocational Training Survey (CVTS) - Adult Education Survey (AES) - Structure of Earnings Survey (SES) - Farm Structure Survey (FSS)

Access eligibility Access can be granted to universities and research institutes based in the EU/EFTA countries Other legal entities need to be granted admissibility first by the Committee on Statistical Confidentiality, then apply for access
