What is CR2 ?

At Jackson School CR2 stands for Caring Respect Responsibility

Independent Work Areas We have a MATRIX that helps us treat others with CR2 in the common areas of the school. Independent Work Areas Lunchroom Playground Hallway Assembly Guest Teacher Restrooms

CARING RESPECT RESPONSIBILITY Lunchroom Show concern for the feelings of others Be helpful Report bullying Follow directions the first time Use quiet voices Be patient Use good table manners Clean your area Walk Wait to be dismissed Wait quietly in line Hallways Keep halls clean Move safely Be quiet Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself Accept differences in others Walk on right side Be where you’re supposed to be Carry your pass Use correct door Do what you’re supposed to do Playground Include others Use equipment properly Follow game rules Play safely Pick up your class’s equipment Be where you are supposed to be Restroom Wait your turn patiently Report Bullying Give people privacy Respect property (stalls, sinks, towels, floor, etc.) Use the first available toilet Flush Wash hands Leave Independent Work Areas (Library, hall) Avoid disrupting others Clean up after yourself Keep hands and feet to self Walk quietly Stay on task Assembly Pay attention Participate appropriately Be kind to others Sit flat Respond appropriately Keep hands and feet out of other peoples’ space Wait to be seated Follow directions Guest Teacher Follow directions of teacher Be cooperative and considerate Model appropriate behavior Follow routines Follow classroom expectations

Every morning after the pledge of allegiance we say the Jackson CR2 pledge: At Jackson Elementary we are a caring, respectful, and responsible learning community.

You can be a Jackson Star Kid. Stars Kids You can be a Jackson Star Kid.

Every week each classroom teacher chooses a student who has shown caring, respect, or responsibility in their classroom. The student’s name is announced and they are given a Star Kid Award to take home.

Super Star Cards Students receive super star cards from adults who see them showing caring, respect, or responsibility.

Students take their Super Stars to their classroom teacher Students take their Super Stars to their classroom teacher. Their names are entered into a drawing . Good job, Tyler, we’ll add this to the drawing on Friday. Thank you

On Friday at 3:00 a drawing is held in each student’s classroom On Friday at 3:00 a drawing is held in each student’s classroom. Two names are drawn in each classroom, and those students meet Mrs. Stephens by the pencil machine to receive their prizes for winning the drawing. See you on Friday!

Jackson Jamborees Students who have shown caring, respect, and responsibility will get to attend a Jackson Jamboree. Jamborees are held monthly as a celebration for students who have helped make our Jackson community a safer, happier place to learn and grow. I hope it will be a free recess!
