How can you help prepare your child for the SATS? Continue to do daily reading where possible, checking your child’s understanding and comprehension of the text as you go. For example, ask your child to explain why a character feels or has acted a certain way, or ask how do you know? Help and support your child to be able to independently use and spell all the Y2 spellings you have received so far. Continue to encourage your child to become fluent with mental maths such as number bonds and times tables, and to see the links between these. (e.g. links between multiplication and division). How can you help prepare your child for the SATS?
