The Heart Truth Delaware Background Heart disease is the leading cause of death among women in the US Delaware ranks 43rd of 50 states in coronary heart disease mortality for women (2007 National Women’s Law Center Report Card)

The Heart Truth Delaware: Is the professional education component of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute The Heart Truth, a national campaign on women and heart disease, in coordination with the Department of Health and Human Services Office on Women's Health Provides continuing medical education, trainings and online tools for primary care physicians and nurses on heart disease risk prevention, management and assessment in women Supports providers with clinical and patient education materials, referral guide and statewide resource directory for women with cardiovascular risk factors This program is a part of the professional education component of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s "The Heart Truth” a national campaign on women and heart disease, in coordination with the Department of Health and Human Services' Office on Women's Health.  Provides continuing medical education, trainings and online tools for primary care physicians and nurses on heart disease risk prevention, management and assessment in women Supports providers with a referral guide and statewide resource directory for women with cardiovascular risk factors 2
