Figure 1 FGFR3 mutations in multiple intraindividual seborrheic keratosis. (a) HT29 colon carcinoma cell line was used as control DNA showing a wild-type FGFR3 sequence. In SK D65, three different FGFR3 mutations were detected simultaneously: R248C (red peak), S373C (green peak), Y375C (blue peak). Although the used SNaPshot® multiplex assay is not strictly quantitative, the relatively low amplitudes of the mutation peaks compared with the amplitudes of the wild-type peaks suggest that these mutations may be present only in a portion of this SK rather than in the whole skin lesion.
