WHAT IS TITLE I . . . Title I is one part out of ten included in the NCLB. Title I is the part of No Child Left Behind that supports programs in schools and school districts to improve the learning of children from low-income families. The purpose of Title I is to ensure that all children have a fair, equal, and significant opportunity to obtain a high-quality education and reach, at a minimum, proficiency on challenging state academic achievement standards as measured by state academic assessments.

Title I – Pathways 2018-19 budget . . . Total allocation: $39,659 Certified salary (Saturday School, staff planning, professional development): $34,959 Curriculum (Accelerated Math): $2700 Parent Involvement Supplies: $1000 Parent Engagement Coordinator: $1,000

Title I – Parents Right to Know . . . Parents have access to the Parent Right to Know Letter through our Facebook and school district website. This letter informs parents of the professional qualifications of their child’s classroom teachers and paraprofessionals. ALL of Pathways teachers are qualified to teach the courses that they are assigned.

Title I – Pathways Parent Engagement . . . 2018-19 Parent Engagement Policy Valley Pathways School recognizes that some students may need the extra assistance available through the Title I program to reach the state’s high academic standards. Valley Pathways School intends to include parents in all aspects of the school’s Title I program. The goal is a school-home partnership that will help all students to succeed. A copy of this policy is available at the front office, school website, AKSTEPP, and Facebook page.
