MCPHERSON Fort located in SW Atlanta in the city of East Point Encompasses approx. 487 acres Approx. 7 miles from Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport Conveniently located on MARTA train and bus lines Chosen in most recent BRAC selection round in 2005 with plans for closure set for September and 2010 Redevelopment Plans, ultimately adopted by the MRLA (established by the City Atlanta) Original Master plans affected by the Great Recession (08 & 09) and subject to changes in strategy
