DOCUMENTATION We are going to be using “Clean Cards” to document when you are not following the school rules. Any staff member can sign your Clean Card. If you have a signature on the Clean Card it will go home at 3 weeks and with report cards. Violations will be noted with: Teacher’s name Date Brief description of violation

CONSEQUENCES As a general rule, no news is good news! The following are the consequences, and points you will lose from your citizenship grade. Written Warning—5 points Lunch Detention—5 points Parent Contact—5 points After School Detention—5 points Office Referral—Automatic 60 Every write up from the 5th to the end of the six weeks will be an office referral. The punishment for office referrals will be decided on by the principle in accordance with the Office Behavioral Steps.

OFFICE BEHAVIORAL STEPS If you receive a referral to the office these are the steps that can be followed: Lunch Detention 1 Day of ISS or Saturday School 2 Days of ISS 4 Days of ISS 6 Days of ISS 8 Days of ISS DAEP Ms. Merrell will determine proper steps based on offense reported.

DETENTION After-school detention will be held on Wednesday, from 3:30 until 4:30 or 3:30 to 5:30. You will report to the ISS room with all of your belongings. Parents will be notified way of a carbon copy. You will sign the form when the teacher gives it to you. Your parents will sign the other and return the slip to the staff member that gave it to you. You should be picked up in front of the school promptly at 4:30 or 5:30(if assigned), or we must have written permission for you to walk home.

DETENTION CONT. If you do not return the permission slip on the first day, your parent will be contacted, and you will receive two hours of after-school detention. If you still do not return the detention permission slip on the second day, an office referral will be written. Remember that an office referral results in an automatic citizenship grade of 60.

SATURDAY SCHOOL If you are not picked up by 4:40 on two separate occasions, you will be assigned Saturday School instead of afterschool detention. Saturday School Will be at Shive 8:00am until 3:30 pm Parents will be responsible for transporting students to and from Saturday School. If you do not attend Saturday School as assigned, you will receive an office referral.
