Government

What is government? A method of ruling people and making laws that results in an organized society It is a method to solve problems and answer questions that people are faced with

What would happen if we had no government? Everyone would do what they wanted and nothing would get done There would be no rules or laws to follow....this would result in chaos!

What is the role of government? To provide laws and maintain order (ex. police) To help people (ex. welfare, pensions, health care, etc.) To do what individuals cannot do on their own To protect individual rights To represent people To maintain order throughout a country
