How to answer source questions on cartoons GCSE exam skills

How to interpret cartoons When analysing the accuracy of cartoons you need to do 3 things: Describe what you can see in the cartoon Relate these visual clues to what was actually happening at the time Consider how and why the artist might be changing events to influence his audience Useful website: How to interpret cartoons

 Your task You each will be given a cartoon to analyse. Stick the cartoon onto a sheet of white paper an annotate it with as much factual detail and analysis as possible. When finished, explain to the class how you would go about answering the question, ‘How accurate is this cartoon?’
