L3-3 Objective: Students will graph systems of linear inequalities Warm Up Is (3,2) a solution to the systems? 1. 3x – 2y = 5 x + 4y = 10 2. x + y > 4 2x < y – 3 3. 8x + y > 5x -5y + 10 ≤ 3

Find whole number solutions of each system using tables. Given x + y ≤ 6 3x + 4y = 20 Build a table Pick values for x Values of y x 1 2 3 4 5 6

Next find the ordered pairs that make the second equation true For each value of x solve for y in the first equation. ( 0 + y ≤ 6; y ≤ 6 ) Write in the values that work. Repeat the process for each value of x. Next find the ordered pairs that make the second equation true (0,5) & (4,2) Y values x 1 2 3 4 5 6 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0… 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, 0… 4, 3, 2, 1, 0… 3, 2, 1, 0… 2, 1, 0… 1, 0… 0…

Ex 1: Graph the solution x + y < 4 2x – 5y ≥ 10

Practice These are to be done on your whiteboard Graph the solutions
