Industrial revolution ( 17-18 century) When was it? The industrial revolution started in the middle of the 17 century and finished in the middle of the 18 century ( 1750-1850). Industrial revolution ( 17-18 century) Where was it? The industrial revolution took place in britain. Then it expanded to northern America, western Europe and Japan. What was it?

Causes The polulation grew fast. Therefore more people, more food and goods. Also there were many workers for the factories. Many people wanted to invest in new factories Britain had a lot of coal steam power In Britain, there was enough food for workers in factories. More banks. More people borrowed money for factories

Causes The government allowed people to do “whatever” they wanted in the factories. There were roads, railways and canals for transporting goods to markets. People invented machines, they were interested in science and technology. Britain had colonies everywhere so they sent raw materials to them.

Working conditions There were no safe equipment, a lot of accidents occurred. They made people work a lot of hours, almost no time to sleep. Children also worked in these unsafe jobs. They employed them because they could do some things adults could not.

Inventions! During the industrial revolution there were a lot of inverntions , it was the time of enlightment. People start to become interest in science,art, etc. The telegraph by samuel F.B.
