Ecological Aspects of Integrated Natural Resources Management By : Dr. Yasir Yousif Abdalla October 2018

Ecology: Environment: The surroundings in which a person, animal, or plant lives. the natural world of land, sea, air, plants, and animals. Ecology: The scientific study of the distribution and abundance of life and the interactions between organisms and their natural environment.

Sudan has been aware of the importance of natural resources since the beginning of the twentieth century. The Sudan was represented at the first environment conference in Sweden and an active participant in these conferences.

It supported the outcome of international agreements in the field of the environment, especially those related to the land

It has ratified the conventions of climate change, desertification, biodiversity, wetlands, chemicals and others.

The Sudan is seriously concerned with the comprehensive environmental law signed in 2001, which is very reliable to regulate the interaction between the environment and organize the work in it .

Sudan Ecological Zones Desert, the rain under 75 mm, area 29% from total area of Sudan. Semi desert 75-300 mm ,area of 20% The Savannah area is light rain in sandy areas , rain 300-400 mm, area 13% The Savannah area is medium rain in mud lands rain 400-880 mm, area 14%. The Savannah area is heavy rain, rain 800- 1500mm ,area 13.4%.
