Social Studies 101 Vocab

Customs A traditional practice or usual way of doing something by a social group or people.

Culture A group of people with similar customs relating to people’s religion, language, clothing, food, entertainment, etc.

Natural Resources Materials such as minerals, forests, water, and fertile land that occur in nature and can be used for economic ($$) gain.

Environment The surroundings or conditions in which a person, animal, or plant lives.

Human-Environment Interaction How humans interact with and affect the environment.
