Establishing RAM ID and password Steps to log into Banner 9 for the first time. To access PPRD Instance of Banner 9 Training, please "initialize" your RAM ID (TEST): (you should see a light grey login screen; if it's red, you're in the wrong instance!)   For New Users (to RAM ID (TEST)): Step 1: Access RAM ID (TEST) Portal: Go to https://pgd.ccsf.edu. Step 2: Click on the "New User? Forgot Password?" button.   Step 3: Enter your RAM ID username (i.e., jsmith (check "I am Staff/Faculty" checkbox)). Step 4: You will be prompted to answer 3 [Mandatory] questions to verify your identity.   Step 5: Password setup. Enter your new password based on the displayed requirements. Step 6: You will be prompted to enroll your new security questions. Pick 2 out of the 10 available to answer. Step 7: You will also be prompted to enroll your mobile device and personal email for future password recovery options. A one-time-password (OTP) will be sent to verify your identity. These are OPTIONAL enrollments and can be skipped within this training environment. Step 8: You should now be able to log into RAM ID (TEST) and receive direct access to all your CCSF TEST Resources. For Returning Users (to RAM ID (TEST)): Step 2: Enter your RAM ID username (i.e., jsmith (check "I am Staff/Faculty" checkbox) along with your current password, then click the "Login" button. Step 3: You should now be able to log into RAM ID (TEST) and receive direct access to all your CCSF TEST Resources.

Banner forms are now called Banner pages. New Terminology in Banner 9 Banner forms are now called Banner pages. Example: SPAIDEN form will now be referred to as SPAIDEN page Blocks are now called sections Example: key block will now be referred to as the key section Next block  is now Go button Rollback  is now Start Over button Query  is now Filter We also have a few shortcut changes:

Banner 9’s New Look & Feel Personalized welcome page. To go to a Banner 9 page, either use the search bar in middle of the landing page or the search icon on application navigation tool bar. Drop down menu and search options Easy to use search bar to open Banner pages using normal language or character abbreviation.

Banner 9’s New Look and Feel Drop down Menu Option You can use the drop down menu to browse pages for the different functional areas. Simply click the drop down menu. Choose the functional area you would like to browse. Once open you can choose the section and page of your choice.

Commonly Used Financial Aid Pages RRAAREQ – Student requirements Once you enter the RRAAREQ page you will enter the student ID number and press “Go” Requirements can be filtered as needed by using the filter button

Commonly used Financial Aid Pages RPAAWRD – Financial Aid Student Award Maintenance RPAAWRD – Layout remains the same as Banner 8 with some upgraded features such as the ability to move and filter columns (example: switching Fund and Description column).

Commonly used Financial Aid Pages RPAAWRD – Financial Aid Student Award Maintenance The “More Information” button, which allows you to view supplemental data such as SAP status, that may be helpful when determining award eligibility.

Commonly used Financial Aid Pages Extra Features Another new feature is the “Related” drop down menu, when you click this button it will show a list of related or commonly associated forms in Banner for quick access.

Commonly used Financial Aid Jobs GLBDATA – POPSEL Job submission steps are the same from Banner 8 to Banner 9. Search for the Job name you would like to run, we used GLBDATA below. Specify “Printer” (Use Database to review data) Fill in “Parameter” values.

Commonly used Financial Aid Jobs Steps to complete Job Submission Submission section Use up and down arrows to highlight and fill in each section. Arrow down to “submission” section to complete job submission. Use this section to “save” user-level defaults and to submit the job or “Hold” for processing.

ROAIMMP – Automatic processes This job has not changed from Banner 8 to Banner 9 except for the look, you are still able to choose the job you would like to run, fill out all needed information, arrow down to submission area and press SAVE to run job. *Note only one process can be run at a time.
