AQ BTU Form - Process BTU forms are used to change an AQ for an LSP (DM or NDM) BTU Forms used in AQ Process for: New Business Appeals D-7 to D+23 Business Days Manifest Error Appeals AQ is less than 50% of the AQ or greater than or equal to 200% of the AQ Instances where a change in AQ cannot be evidenced by consumption history BTU form is sent to the AQ Box Account and an accompanying AQ Appeal is sent via the standard route (but force referred) Evidence provided and validation undertaken by xoserve…
AQ BTU Form – Evidence & Validation Following information is required to be provided by Shipper Shippers responsibility to provide evidence to support that there has been: ‘change in consumers plant which results in a change in the basis on which gas is consumed’ (UNC G 1.6.13) e.g. removal or installation of equipment on site Evidence: Shipper statement on the BTU form regarding how the plant has changed on site Evidence can also include (but not mandatory): Appliance and total usage for each appliance Calculation of annual usage (i.e. by hours per day, days, weeks etc.) Shipper Estimate AQ on BTU form has to equal AQ on submitted Appeal xoserve will undertake some validation on the reads / consumption if BTU form indicates that there is some recent evidence
AQ BTU Form – Timescales Shipper submits BTU Form (email) and AQ Appeal (IX / files) xoserve will process within 5 days (usually sooner) Appeal reference is sent back to Shipper via IX / files Shipper re-confirms with Appeal Reference 7 days (no objection) 14 days (objection) AQ goes live NDM – SOQ will also change DM – SOQ will not change
AQ BTU Form – Volume of Requests September 2008 – 2009 44 requests received and accepted (33 NDM, 11 DM). 29 reduced the AQ 15 increased the AQ 74 requests rejected, for reasons: No meter attached Premises stated as vacant Meter Point Dead Lack of justification
