My spectrum of tactile integration: Touch/pain/pressure/temperature/texture ACTIVITY C. YOUR WRITING PROMPTS PAGE 63-64

My experience of touch and pain: How do you react to different types of touch? What effect does light touch have on you? Can you cope with unexpected physical contact? Does it matter whether the touch is from someone you know or a stranger?   How about when you have to get your hair or nails cut? Does this feel painful?

My experience of pressure: Do you like to push against things or squash yourself in tiny spaces? Do you like to wear tight clothes or hats on your head? Do you need layers of clothes on you to feel right? Have you tried weighted vests as a way of decompressing? Would a sleeping bag help you sleep better at night?

My experience of temperature: Do you find it uncomfortable to cope with very hot weather? What about cold weather and snow? Does this seem to make you feel more cold than everyone else? Do you put on more clothes than other people like three pairs of socks or none at all?

My experience of texture: Do you like the feel of snow or the rain? How about putting your hand in a river and feeling the currents underneath? Do you like getting messy or sticky? Would you rather not wear shoes or socks? Do you find wool painful to wear? Is it good to feel hard but smooth textures like leather against your skin? Do you enjoy touching different surfaces to get sensory input? Have you any pets? How do you find stroking their fur?
