Module 5 Lesson 5 Notes 1/31/19 Outcome: Students define the graph of a function to be the set of all points (x,y) with x an input of the function and y its matching output.

M5L5 Notes We can graph a function by writing the inputs and corresponding outputs as ordered pairs. The graph of a function is the same as the graph of the rule (equation) that describes it. We can examine a graph to determine if it is the graph of a function, specifically to see that each x value (input) has only one y value (output).
