The School Perspective Translating IT Strategic Initiatives/Guiding-Principles to Local Action

My Objective Share my observations from the School of Human Ecology Ask you to consider how your schools are the same or different

The Benefit and Challenge of Local + - Greater sense of unique needs Narrower view of options for satisfying Belief that centralized decision-making cannot adequately represent local needs.

Some Challenges that Separate Zero awareness or understanding of guiding principles Not sure how global initiatives benefit them (and not sure how to find out) Little time or inclination to learn unless it meets a specific need they have

How do you connect the dots between local needs and global initiatives/services under these circumstances?

How is your/your school’s experience the same or different? What is our role, if any, in bringing that perspective to this forum? How Might We? See the world or situation through the eyes of the people involved
