The Polish Education System

Compulsory schooling in Poland begins when children are 7-years old, although pre-school nurseries and kindergartens are available for children to enter the schooling system at an earlier stage. Compulsory schooling ends when children reach the age of 17.

High School Is an upper secondary school where young people stay for 3 years. The school prepares students to go to university. At the end of high school students pass the exam called „matura” (3 compulsory subjects, 1-3 optional subjects).
