What is a Neighbourhood Plan? (NP) It is about your community influencing land use and development to deliver your needs and requirements: The Plan covers land use and development until 2030 live work travel park drink eat play Make Your Views Count

Why NP is so Important You shape the future! Puts YOU in control Sets out what our community wants regarding: Environment, conservation and green space Types of Housing and Design Local Economy, amenities and shops Society Community and Culture Transport, Parking and Pollution Controls Undesirable ad-hoc development It is our community’s vision and strategy for the future and must be taken into account by the local authority when making planning decisions. Development and change will happen. You shape the future! Make Your Views Count

NP Can and Can’t Cannot: Can: Make Your Views Count Decide where and what type of development Include policies and design standards Identify areas for protection Set out improvements or additions to facilities and services Cannot: Block development taking place Conflict with the local plan Be prepared by a body other than a Parish Council or without community support Make Your Views Count
