Croatian Association for Neonatology and Neonatal Intensive Care Insert national flag home page: No contact address: Šubićeva 9, 10000 Zagreb, Croatia Established in 2006 Joined UENPS in 2008 Current president: Boris Filipović-Grčić Hrvatska No of inhabitants 4.300.000 No of annual births 37.000 Members 90 pediatricians-neonatologists and 15 fellows in pediatrics (for neonatology), no nurses Previous activities Joining in national and regional perinatal and pediatric congresses and conferences; organizing continuous professional development courses, annual conferences on perinatal and neonatal mortality. Creating national guidelines in neonatology. The main current goals and challenges Improvement in prenatally transferred premature and sick fetuses to third level facilities. Further development of regionalized organization of perinatal / neonatal care. Development of guidelines in neonatology. Follow-up of neonatal mortality, searching for a way to decrease the share of avoidable deaths.

Help to organize national education by high-level courses in neonatology.
