Previous activities
Organization of neonatal and perinatal care in the Czech Republic, foundation of 12 centers of perinatal care. Collection of data on neonatal morbidity and mortality. Creation of professional recommendations. Organization of annual national congress. Collaboration with patients supporting organizations.
The main current goals and challenges
The main challenges in the national perinatal medicine that the organization is working on:
Support equipment of perinatal care centers from European Union funds, foundation of Czech Neonatal Network, establishing of national patient registry of risk newborns.
Expectations from UENPS in 2018
Improving communication, information transfer, and training within European Neonatal and Perinatal societies. Create reports and publish the results of perinatal and neonatal care outcomes in member countries. Promote information on perinatal care at European level. Work on joint European science projects and studies.
