RULE PLAYER NUMBERING On scrimmage down, must have at least 5 players numbered 50 – 79 on the line of scrimmage EXCEPTION: In a scrimmage kick formation, a player, who by his initial position is an exception to the mandatory numbering, must be on the line and BETWEEN the end players on the line of scrimmage

RULE PLAYER NUMBERING The interior linemen are established once the snapper assumes his position and touches or simulates {hand(s) at or below the knees} touching the ball The foul can be avoided if the snapper simply does not put his hands at the knees (i.e. he puts them on his thighs) until team shifts to final position

RULE PLAYER NUMBERING If this rule is violated, it is a live ball foul, (Illegal formation) and carries a 5 yard previous spot penalty. Signal with Signal 19
