Diversity in Willamalane’s Workplace

What is diversity? Diversity is defined as all characteristics and experiences that describe each of us as individuals. Diversity can include age, race, sexual orientation, religion, disability and gender. Having a diverse workplace creates an inclusive environment that aims to use the special talents and differing perspectives of its employees.

How ethnically diverse is Willamalane?

Ethnicity Comparison

Not only do we have diversity in regards to race, Willamalane also has multiple age groups represented.

Age Group Analysis The average age for female employees at Willamalane is 34.6 years of age. The average age for male employees at Willamalane is 36.6 years of age.

Generations at Willamalane

Analysis Results The overall ratio of males to females in the organization remains fairly consistent except we have had an increased percentage of females over the last year. The number of all minorities is close in comparison to the Springfield Census except in the Latino population.   Employees over 40 have remained consistent over the last year. As stated last year, this will have implications for the District’s work force in the near future with more people retiring and becoming retirement eligible.
