Updates for 2012-13 1st half New Curriculum deployment Children in 5th and 6th class visited M.M. Hills to learn about bio-diversity and local herbs 12 of the 7th and 8th level children and 2 teachers visited Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan on an exchange program 15 children and 2 teachers visited Agumbe Rain Forest Research Center

Updates continued… Children from 7th and 8th level took up responsibilities of the earth worms in the Vermicompost tanks, the Rabbits and Chicken in the school, and the vegetable beds that are being created around the school to make maximum use of the organic matter available on the Puvidham land

Stanford Grant Applied for a grant from Stanford chapter towards Innovation in Education Didn’t make it but it was good experience overall

Donor Interest Mr. Sridhar had donated $1000 towards corpus funds (Employer’s matching donation has been received) Remit along with second disbursal of funds Shruti, Mr. Sridhar’s daughter, prepared a site visit report (separate slides)
