3 Basics - Location Registered as a charitable Trust in Kanchipuram, TN Schools in 9 villages. One additional school – Hiranandani - supported by a construction company. Asha for Education, Seattle Chapter

4 Basics – Org Activities 612 children in academic year 09-10. Bridge school Classes 1 – 8. 436 children. Day Care. 176 children In addition to teaching, provide learning materials, meals, exposure visits, and medical camp for migrants. People – Coordinator (Mr. T.K. Elumalai), Asst. Coordinator, Teachers (15), Cooks (3), and Driver. Asha for Education, Seattle Chapter

5 Asha Seattle’s Involvement Involved since 2005. Most of RDT funding comes through Asha, Seattle. Approved recurring funding for Rs. 24,89,775/-. Disbursed $123,386/- since 2005. Primary steward (Vani Subramanian) actively involved in the project. Asha for Education, Seattle Chapter

6 Current Status Last site visit – Dec 2008. Last chapter presentation – today. Looking for primary steward. Approved recurring funding for Rs. 24,89,775/-. No increases in the budget for this academic year. Asha for Education, Seattle Chapter
