Being Inclusive

Overview This week we focus on “Being Inclusive”. The lessons include videos and activities that promote inclusion, and feelings related to being excluded or left out. Students are provided with opportunities to discussion with peers and practice ways to be inclusive.

#1 Promoting Inclusion Someone new joined our class and we want to make that person feel welcome, what could we do?

#2 Promoting Inclusion Sarah is a very sweet girl, but is losing her hair from a medical condition. She likes to be in class with her friends, but at lunch other students tease her, which make her sad. What would you do?

#3 Promoting Inclusion John desperately want to have friends and be part of a group. When he tries to join a group or activity he is ignored. When teams are being picked he is always the last to be picked. You are a starting a new group. What would you do?
