S1 Assembly – March 2013 Other things to focus on for next term

9 Be Willing to help There are always things we can do to help others and there are always other people that need our help. Whether it’s giving to charity or helping someone in our year we can help others make the world a better place.

10 Get on well with different kinds of people

11 Forgive others One of the hardest things to do when we do something wrong is to say sorry. It is even harder to forgive people if they do something that makes us feel bad. But remember we all make mistakes and by forgiving others we remind them when we do something wrong we should be forgiven too.

12 Have some really good friends
Friendship is one of the most important things in our lives. It makes us feel safe and happy when bad things happen. We should look out for people who who seem to be left out and make sure they get included. Just think what it would be like if it was you.

13 Learn to work in a team Whether it’s as a group in our classes, as a whole class, as a whole year group, or as a whole school we will do better if we help each other. WORKING AS A TEAM HELPS US ALL DO BETTER IF WE HELP EACH OTHER. WORKING AS A TEAM HELPS US ALL DO BETTER AND ENJOY OUR LIFE IN THE SCHOOL.

14 Be confident and proud of yourself
THIS IS A HARD THING TO GET PEOPLE TO DO. ALL WE CAN SAY IS KEEP TRYING. EVERYINE IN THIS THEATRE HAS SOMETHING POSITIVE TO OOFER AND WE NEED TO KEEP BELIEVING IN OURSELVES. WHETHER IT IS DOING WELL IN TESTS, TURNING UP ON TIME, WINNING A FOOTBALL MATCH OR WRITING A STORY YOU ARE PROUD OF,…….. EVERYTHING YOU DO MAKES YOU SPECIAL.

15 Respect others THIS IS THE EASIEST OF ALL THE TOP TEN TIPS……ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS WANT TO TRY. WE SHOULD RESPECT OURSELVES AND EACH OTHER, WE SHOULD AIM TO DO THIS EVERYDAY AND KEEP TRYING TO BETTER EVERYDAY

16 Keep a sense of humour
