Satellite Programming and Distribution... Opening up a World of Possibilities

What we had… Receiver TV 1

An Alternative System… Receiver TV or Monitor Receiver TV or Monitor Receiver TV or Monitor

Our Goal System with: - Custom selection of channels - All channels available at all stations - Channel selections to be made by users at the station. - Programming sources from various vendors/satellites needed to be distributed. Provide: - Additional support for the languages taught at Swarthmore. - Programming that would serve other disciplines. - Programming that would serve Foreign students. - Programming of interest to students preparing to go abroad, or students returning from abroad.

The Resources - $10,000 dollars in replacement funding for the existing Satellite system. - A few thousand dollars in funding from a grant and the LRC budget. - Facilities funding sources for wiring classrooms.

The Problem The one bid for the project I received was: $39, That did not include the cost of wiring or electrical work.
