Textbook- your student should have one at home and one is provided in the classroom Course Textbook: McDougal Littell. The Americans: Reconstruction to the 21st Century. 2006.

Binders and Assignments Students should keep all of their history work in a binder, organized by unit and page number. Expect to complete assignments each class meeting and homework each week. Absent: come during advisory or lunch to find the missing work in the unit binder on the back table- DO NOT COPY FROM A CLASSMATE. I will collect assignments and activities at random weekly to be graded. If they are absent, they must turn in the assignments that had been collected while they were away IMMEDIATELY upon arrival to class in the INBOX.

Grade Categories Assignments- 30% of the overall grade - Homework: assigned when needed and expected to be completed on-time Quizzes- 10% of the overall grade Tests- 30% of the overall grade, A 50-point test will be given at the end of each unit.  Each unit test will comprise of multiple choice, matching and reading analysis questions Projects- 30% of the grade of the overall grade

Make-Up Procedures Students are expected to turn in all assignments on time.  Late work: If students fail to turn in an assignment on the day it is due, then they are expected to turn it in ASAP for 75% credit. A grade of a C is always better than an F! Make-up work can be completed during one of the following times, looking at the make-up binder on the back table: 1) Advisory 2) During lunch 3) after school- appointment only

Tutoring time Students are always welcome and encouraged to come to my advisory for make-up work or extra help. I’m available for help during lunch
