Clothes World BEGINNING ESL LESSON The clothes shown on this slideshow aren’t really how people dress anymore. These are examples of how people from various countries dressed many years ago. It’s common for citizens to dress up for national holidays in clothes that were worn in their country by their ancestors. BEGINNING ESL LESSON

Nigeria Nigeria is the most populated country in Africa. It is located on the west coast of the continent. The official language of Nigeria is English.

Spain Spain is in Europe. People in Spain speak Spanish. Spain had a huge influence on the language and dress of people from Mexico.

South Africa South Africa is a country on the southern tip of the African continent. It is on the coast of the Indian and Atlantic Oceans.

Italy Italy is in southern Europe. It is on the Mediterranean Sea.

Scotland Scotland is in Europe. It is north of England and is part of Great Britain.

Vietnam Vietnam is in Asia. It is south of China. Vietnam is a long narrow country.

China China is in Asia and it is the most populated country in the world. It is the oldest continuous civilization and has one of the oldest languages.

Egypt Egypt is in the northern part of Africa. Many of its residents live near the Nile River.

America Alaska is in the northern most part of North America. It is the least densely populated state of the USA.

Sweden Sweden is in the northern part of Europe. It is a large country in area, but it is not very populated.

Brazil Brazil is the largest country in South America. People in Brazil speak Portuguese.

India India is in Southern Asia. People in India speak many languages, including Hindi and English.

American Indian American Indians are decedents of the original peoples who lived in the North America before Europeans arrived.

England England is in Europe and is part of Great Britain. People in England speak English.
