TYPES OF TEETH INCISORS – SHARP TEETH THAT CUT AND BITE FOOD CANINES – POINTED TEETH THAT TEAR FOOD MOLARS – GRIND FOOD

2 MAIN PARTS OF THE TOOTH CROWN – is what you see when you smile. ROOT – is below the gumline. It makes up about 2/3rds of the tooth’s total length.

PARTS OF THE TOOTH Enamel – the durable white covering. Dentin – is a yellow bone like material that carries some of the nerves inside your tooth. Pulp – the center of the tooth.Soft tissue contains blood and nerves. Cementum – covers the root of the tooth. It helps to attach the tooth to the bone in the jaw.
