Activity 1: Stand up, Sit down Listen to the statements that are being read out. Consider whether they are true or false. If you agree that they are true – stand up. If you think they are false – stay sitting down. If you’re not sure – put both of your hands in the air. In pairs/groups – students will be given a plain piece of paper to create a mind map about their feelings to the following questions based on the acitivity. After you have finished the statement rounds you can reflect on the process with the participants. What statement did you dislike? What did you learn from all the statements and the discussions? How would you feel if you were in a situation like those reported by the last statements, or if somebody from your family or friends were? Is there anything that you would like to add to the statements or the discussions?
