What we have to offer… We have approximately 16,000 parking spaces on campus Of the 16,000 about 5,500 is within 10 parking ramps With limited exceptions, student who live on campus only have the option of remote storage parking Commuting student have a limited number of commuter parking lot options. Employees have a varying options for lower cost commuter parking to higher cost ramp parking. The costs range from $24/month to $98/month. There are a few additional options for certain user groups like a $195/month Physicians Permit.

Employee Parking We have approximately 16,000 employees on campus! Options for new employees: Most interior parking lots have a waitlist. New assignments can be made to commuter parking lots.

Campus Core

Employee Parking Waiting list: If an employee would like more convenient parking they can get on a waiting list. We currently have 6,387 employees on a waitlist. The oldest seniority date is The lists are long for each lot. For example, weve had someone waiting for an assignment to a specific parking lot for 24 years. You get permit here

Data Collection Each day at 10am and 2pm counts of empty spaces are collected in the field That information is factored in with the facility capacity to determine the number of spaces utilized The number of assignments is collected to compare to the number of spaces utilized

Utilization After the data is collected, utilization ratios are calculated Using the assignment target and the utilization ratios, we can determine if we can make additional assignments to the facility

Can we make additional assignments?

Keeping Balance Lot caps are entered on the Balance Board, a report that shows where each lot presently stands.

Care and Feeding Wait List requests are made via Employee Self-Service. Requests are kept pending until work location and seniority date are verified (24-48 hrs) After that, employees see a live view of their rank on each lot.

Composition The list for each lot is composed of three separate lists, each ranked by seniority date with the University. All ADAs first, ranked by Date. After that, the tops of the other two lists are taken in turn. If an offer is declined, the spot is offered to the next person on the same sub-list (Faculty to Faculty, Staff to Staff). The position number the customer sees is the real number, once all these factors are taken into account.

When The Wait Is Over When an offer is made, customers are notified in two ways: An is sent from with subject Parking Wait List Offer (expires end of day XX/XX/XX) with complete instructions on what to do to accept or decline. Their Wait List Status screen will also show this:

Fulfilling The Offer Once an employee has been sent the advising them of their outstanding offer for a waitlisted parking lot, they can simply come into one of our two offices to obtain their parking permit. A note is placed on their account in our system so any customer service representative can assist them.
