Comcast Center Super Seniority List Ranking Your Comcast Communication Committee and Local #11 have been working together to develop a fair seniority rank order list

Brief History Local #11 was familiar with only about 20% of the Comcast Stagehands. In an effort to get to know all the workers at Comcast, what the skill set levels were, where the strengths and weaknesses of the workforce lie and what future training would be helpful. Local #11 and your Comcast Communication Committee developed a survey as a means to get to know you all better. Later it was discovered these surveys could be used as a tool to help develop your seniority list.

sen·ior·i·ty sin ˈ y ɔ r ɪ ti,- ˈ y ɒ r-Show Spelled[seen-yawr-i-tee, - yor-] Show IPA –noun, plural -ties for the state of being senior; priority of birth; superior age.senior 2. priority, precedence, or status obtained as the result of a person's length of service, as in a profession, trade, company, or union: First choice of vacation time will be given to employees with seniority. thetime From

Methodology The goal is to follow Local #11s current hiring hall practices Local #11 Hiring Hall Seniority Ranking is based on earnings and time worked We could not get an accurate record of past earnings from our Employer therefore the calculation used to determine the seniority list is biased on Local #11 in principal with the addition of a skill set consideration We used the data from the surveys you filled out coupled with information from Live Nation and developed a mathematical formula to create a numeric list that would become a fair seniority list with a rank order similar to Local #11

Super Seniority Calculation PLEASE KEEP IN MIND YOUR INDIVIDUAL SCORE IS BASED ON YOU! YOUR TIME WORKED AT THE VENUE AND YOUR PERSONAL SKILL SET 65% Time Working at the Comcast Center 25% Skill Set 10% Full Time Stagehand Status

Time In Hiring dates were taken from the survey and checked against an employer supplied hiring date sheet Time out due to injury was compensated by offering the average time before injury One (1) full point was given for working more than 10 shows in a season One half point (0.5) was given for working less than 10 shows in a season The total time points were added and entered into the formula as time in

Appeal of Ranking The Comcast Super Seniority list is a work in progress Anyone who feels their ranking is incorrect can submit an appeal to Local #11 Best efforts will be made to ensure the list will be fair and unbiased Appeals of Ranking An individual may appeal his/her initial group placement and any subsequent ranking change. The Executive Board of Local 11, in consultation with the Comcast Communication Committee, will review and render a decision within thirty days of the submission of a written appeal containing a statement of the basis of the appeal and any supporting documentation. The Executive Board may, but need not, schedule a hearing on the appeal. The decision of the Executive Board shall be final and binding. In considering appeals the Executive Board, in addition to the supporting documents, may consider an individuals singular skills or expertise when same is deemed necessary for the successful operation of the hiring hall. As soon as possible send a letter to Local #11 requesting an appeal, Please include the reason and supporting documents for your appeal OR Please hand deliver your appeal in a sealed envelope to your Steward i.e. copies of pay stubs or tax statements verifying your date of hire or proof of an injury that has prevented you from work or if you have expanded your skill set. Please make sure your appeal is signed and dated I.A.T.S.E. Local # Old Colony Ave South Boston, MA 02127

What is Super Seniority Local #11 is a labor union operating a hiring hall. We have a seniority based job referral system with A, B, C, & D lists. Jobs are revered to our participants in rank order by seniority. Comcast Stagehands have Super Seniority at the Comcast Center over Local #11s Seniority list. Local #11 Hiring Hall Participants will only work at the Comcast Center AFTER the Comcast Super Seniority Stagehands list has been exhausted!
