1. EXPLAIN “This is my solution/strategy…” Explain and show your thinking to others

2. “I agree with ________ because _____ … Explain why you agree with them (same strategy, same thought process, etc.)

3. “I respectfully disagree because _______” Be respectful and explain why you don’t agree Offer a new solution or strategy

4. Go Beyond: “This makes me think of ….” Extend another’s ideas by linking them to other ideas or strategies Think of patterns or inverse operations to make connections

5. Ask Good Questions “Why did you…?” “How did you…?” “Could you have…?” “What if…?”
