Peace On Earth Luke 2:1-14

What Is This Peace? Obviously between two parties Many take this to mean physical peace (absence of worldly hostilities) If so, where is the evidence? The slaughter of the children (Matt. 2:16) What Jesus said (Matt. 24:6-7)

Did the Prince of Peace bring peace? (Isa. 9:6; Matt. 10:34) The sword (Eph. 6:17; Heb. 4:12) The gospel of peace (Rom. 10:15) Peace with God (Rom. 5:1, 6-10)

It Is Salvation From Sin Jesus came to save (Lk. 19:10) This required becoming flesh (Jn. 1:14) This allowed the shedding of blood (Eph. 1:7) Reconciliation (2 Cor. 5:19) Jesus brings peace and reconciliation to all (Col. 1:19-23)
