Learning Objectives Gain exposure to and an understanding of the various expectations within a CEO/GM role Reflect on one’s career aspirations relative to those expectations Understand how one can better impact one’s organization Identify personal areas of strength and areas of growth Develop and improve leadership skills Discuss personal challenges confidentially in small groups and with facilitators Provide continuing opportunity to expand leadership skills

Learning Objectives cont’d Gain a shared understanding of organizational culture and how culture is impacted by emerging trends in the transit industry Demonstrate one’s leadership skills in crisis situations Explore one’s values and ethics as it relates to managing relationships with (and communicating with) outside parties (e.g., Boards of Directors and constituents) Understand the value of a strategic narrative to lead & inspire, communicate vision & values, and explain who you are and what you believe Explore how to build alliances and gain support to help market and implement ideas

Learning Objectives cont’d Discuss the challenges and opportunities relative to attracting millennials to the transit industry and retaining high-performing millennial employees Understand the nature of motivation and creating a desire to outperform in our associates and work groups At the end of the week, reflect on the question: Knowing what I know today about the role of a GM/CEO, do I want to become one?
