THEME : WORLD OF SELF/ PERSONAL RELATIONSHIP YEAR : 5 GEMILANG TOPIC : FAMILY FIRST – Description of People  

CURRICULUM SPECIFICATIONS : 1.6.1 Listen to and enjoy children’s songs, rhymes, poems and jazz chants.  

FOCUS SKILLS : 1.6 Listen to and enjoy the rhyme,rhythm,and sounds of poetry, jazz chants and songs. LANGUAGE ITEM : Grammar ; PRONOUNS Personal Pronouns.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES : By the end of the lesson, pupils would be able to :- listen to and enjoy the song. listen to and identify the personal pronouns in the song. develop pupils confidence in using English. fill in the blanks.

Tell pupils to listen and sing along the song- You’ll be in my heart – by Phil Collins. (song) The lyrics of the song. 3. Ask pupils to identify the Personal Pronouns in the song. 4. Ask pupils on how many times personal pronouns are repeated in the song.

Pupils study the chart carefully. 3. Pupils play “ Poison Box Game.” 4. Teacher gives the instruction how to play the game. 5. Teacher puts sentence strips in a box, the box will move when the music is on. When the music is off, the pupil who holds the box will pick out a sentence strip . 5.The pupil will read aloud to the class. 6. The other pupils will guest the answers. 7. This activity will be carried out several times. 8. Teacher displays the sentence strips on the board.
