If you have MULTIPLE dialogue sentences… For scenario #1 and scenario #2… EVERYTHING STAYS THE SAME! Just add multiple sentences inside your quotations marks SCENARIO #1: Ms. Martin said, “Reading is awesome. I love reading.” SCENARIO #2: “Reading is awesome. I love reading,” said Ms. Martin.

If you have MULTIPLE dialogue sentences… For scenario #3… Capitalize beginning of dialogue sentence inside quotation marks Comma INSIDE quotation marks before tag Period after tag Capitalize beginning of second dialogue sentence inside quotation marks Period at end of dialogue sentence INSIDE quotation marks “Reading is awesome,” said Ms. Martin. “I love reading.”

If you have ? or ! For scenario #1… ? or ! at end of dialogue sentence INSIDE quotation marks Ms. Martin said, “I super love reading!” For scenario #2… “I super love reading!” said Ms. Martin. For scenario #3 “I super,” said Ms. Martin, “love reading!”

If you have MULTIPLE speakers… ALL SCENARIOS STAY THE SAME!!!!! BUT!... START A NEW PARAGRAPH EACH TIME THE SPEAKER CHANGES! “Reading is awesome,” said Ms. Martin. “I love reading.” Ms. Poe said, “I also like reading.”
