Volume and Density

Volume Volume is the amount of space an object fills. The units for volume are ml or cm3. Formula: V = l x w x h Archimede’s Principle: Measure the water’s volume. Put the object in the water and measure the new volume. Subtract to find the object’s volume. Formula: 2nd-1st

Density Matter – anything that has mass and takes up space Mass – the amount of matter in an object, units are grams. Volume- is the amount of space an object fills

Density Density is a measure of how closely the matter is compacted together. Formula: d=m/V (density = mass divided by volume) The units are g/ml or g/cm3.
