They Are All European Explorers! What do all of these men have in common? They Are All European Explorers! Hernando Cortez Christopher Columbus Ferdinand Magellan

Directions: Work with your partner to go over the data presented in the chart. Look for generalizations. What can you learn by studying this chart? Answer the questions by analyzing the data.

According to the data, what was happening beginning in the late 1490s? Answer: People from countries in Europe were exploring new places.

What countries were involved? Answer: England, France, Spain Did you list Italy? Italians did explore, but always for other countries. Italy did not pay for any expeditions.
