Do you think our teacher remembers when stamps only cost 29¢? I’m pretty sure that’s what stamps cost in 1991, silly! Well he is widely credited with discovering America. They put his name on a stamp? Nah! That had to have been 50 years ago!

Portuguese Explorers led the way in finding a sea route around Africa. Bartolomeu Dias sailed along the coast of Africa and around its southern tip in 1487. I wonder if all the explorers were this good looking! Vasco Da Gama sailed all the way to India between 1497 and 1499.
