To begin designing my own house, I started researching some floor plans online. After looking at some examples and getting a basic idea, I came up with a simple, one-story house floor plan, shown on the left. The picture on the right is the floor plan of the finished design. Beginning The Design Process

The first step to building the house was constructing a frame for it, starting with the interior and exterior walls. Then, I designed and built the front door, interior door frames and windows, including a bay window for the front of the house. I added them to the house, along with the flooring.

The final step to finishing the frame of the house was adding the roof to it.

Adding The Furniture and Appliances Now that I finished building the house itself, I needed to put in the furniture and appliances to make it look like a home. Since my house design was basic, I wanted to personalize it by building all the furniture myself. *excluding the bathroom toilet

In the bathroom I put in a jacuzzi bath tub, a sink and toilet. The bedroom has a closet, a queen size bed and a night stand. I made the den an office space with a desk and two file cabinets. The kitchen includes wall cabinets, an island with cabinets built in, and your typical kitchen appliances; a refrigerator, a stove and a sink. The living room has a leather couch and chair set, and dresser with a T.V.

Adding Material and Rendering The House Aside from a few things I rendered along the way, everything was set at a default color. The final step in creating my house was giving everything inside a color and material to make it all come together. The Den
