COURSE ON DESIGN OF EXPERIMENTS Two / Three Days Purpose & Outcome To provide the delegates the basic knowledge on Design of Experiments, giving them a better insight into their products/ processes and their controlling mechanism, thereby giving them a real tool to improve the products/ processes and hence product quality parameter(s). By the end of the workshop, delegates would be able to: - study a process and understand the dependent and independent variables involved - plan an experiment for study of the effect of process parameters - interpret the results arrived at after the experiment and identify those factors which are significant and those not so significant - suggest changes in process design for better product quality i.e. robust design through minimum cost inputs. Process Through presentation and workshop, delegates would be • provided facets of product quality • explained, in detail, the elements of process control • 3 principles and 3 stages of experimentation. • explained the framework for design of experiments • taken through examples of actual experiments done and their interpretation. Schedule : 0900 to 1700 hrs. (All the days) Who Should Attend ? All those Design Engineers and Personnel who are stipulating initial design specification in respect of product parameters Process Engineers who are designing the processes for manufacturing the item/product Quality Engineers responsible for developing in process quality assurance procedures and examining process capability in a regular manner Production Engineers and personnel involved in Quality Improvement Projects relating to process Top Management personnel responsible for investment decisions on processes, new machines, new techniques etc. Why TQMI ?
