Why Do We Study It? We study the 1920 Olympics because of the amount of records made. For example, Highest Jump, 100 meter, 400 meter, oldest person to ever receive a medal at the Olympics. We study this because we still have a ceremony today for all the soldiers that have died for us today before the Olympic games even start. Also because the people in the Olympics in this time want to know what records can still be broken from the past competitor's.

Why Is It Important? The 1920 Olympics are important to know about because that is when all the records have been started, and that’s what people today in the Olympics try and beat to hold the record. It is important because the 1916 Olympics was cancelled because of World War I which is why before we start our Olympics today we have a special ceremony to thank all the soldiers for helping fight off the war. This Olympics is important because this was the first Olympics for people to start setting records.

How Did It Impact People At The Time? The Olympics impacted so much people at the time because it kept all the people who weren’t in the war occupied with other things instead of worrying about others. It impacted so many people because in the 1920’s athletes starting setting records for the upcoming Olympics. Also, most people were good at only a couple tings and focused on just those things instead of trying to adapt to something new.

How Does It Impact People Today? The 1920 Olympics impacts many of us today because a lot of the records get continually broke by new people, which makes all the new competitors beat the newest one. But this was all started because of the early Olympic years. The Olympics in the 1920’s impact us because now it’s just an annual 2 year event that everyone gets prepared and excited to watch for.

1920 Olympics In 1916 the Olympics games were scheduled to be held in Berlin but were cancelled due to World War I.
