ABOUT HARVARD Harvard University is located in Boston, Massachusetts. Address: Cambridge, MA 02138 It was founded in 1636. Their school color is crimson, and their mascot is a pilgrim.

HISTORY Harvard is the oldest institution of education in the United States. It was established in 1636 by vote of the Great and General Court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony. Harvard University came to its name because of it’s first benefactor, the young minister John Harvard of Charlestown. When he died (1838) he left his library and half of his estate to the institution established in 1636 by vote.

TUITION Tuition and Fees: $39,966 Books: $1,000 - An individual book may cost well over $100, sometimes closer to $200. The cost of books for a year of college can easily top $1,000. This is true whether you attend a private university. Room and Board: $13,630 Other Expenses: $2,454 Total Cost: $57,050
