The Graveyard Book By: Neil Gaiman

About the Author Neil Gaiman, a famous author who has written many fantastic books, The Graveyard Book being one of them.  He has a unique writing style and uses various techniques to engage the reader. For example, a technique called a comma splice is a technique Gaiman uses often in his writing.  A comma splice is when a comma is provided between 2 independent clauses to build up the suspense and anticipation in the piece of writing.  He also uses very colorful & descriptive language engaging the reader. A lot of people can relate to the characters in the books he writes as some are based on problems or events the people reading the book might have gone through  therefore relating to the book.
